Carson Group has added Yari Capital to its independent advisor channel, bringing approximately $405 million in assets under management to the wealth management platform.
Atlanta-based Yari Capital is led by founder and senior wealth advisor Kurt Mattson, CFP, and joins Carson Group from Northwestern Mutual.
The team also includes Olivia Payne, CFP, Director of Financial Planning, along with a three-person support staff.
Yari Capital serves executives, physicians, attorneys, business owners and other high-earning professionals through a planning-first wealth management approach focused on building, preserving and transferring wealth.
Mattson launched his practice in 1995 and has built the business around comprehensive financial planning.
The firm’s work spans cash flow planning, tax considerations, retirement, investment management and estate planning, with strategies developed around individual client goals.
Yari Capital selected Carson as Mattson looked for a platform that could broaden the resources available to clients without giving up the independence of his practice.
The relationship gives Yari Capital access to Carson’s technology, advanced planning resources and broader advisor community while allowing the team to retain control over how it operates and serves clients.

The addition of Yari Capital expands Carson’s advisor network as the company continues recruiting established teams from large financial institutions and other wealth management platforms.

Its advisory network includes more than 165 partner offices, including over 50 Carson Wealth locations.
