Cary Street Partners has acquired Seneca House Advisors, expanding its wealth management presence in Richmond, Virginia. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition establishes a dedicated Cary Street Partners office in Richmond’s West End and brings the firm’s national footprint to 22 locations. Cary Street Partners also operates its headquarters in downtown Richmond and an office in nearby Glen Allen.
Seneca House Advisors is led by Elizabeth King, Matthew Daniel and Tyler Napier. The team brings experience spanning wealth management, financial planning, portfolio management, legal matters and behavioral finance.
The advisors will continue serving clients from their existing location, which will operate under the Cary Street Partners name. They will gain access to the firm’s technology, investment platform and broader operational resources.
Seneca House’s team also includes professionals focused on client relationship management, paraplanning, operations and administration. Cary Street Partners said the structure will allow clients to continue receiving personalized advice while benefiting from a larger financial services organization.
The acquisition increases Cary Street Partners’ presence in its home market. The firm was founded in Richmond and has continued expanding through a combination of local investments and national growth.
Cary Street Partners manages more than $13 billion in client assets across its subsidiaries. Its services include investment management, financial planning and broader advisory solutions for individuals, families and businesses.
The firm has pursued growth by partnering with advisory practices that share its focus on personalized service and long-term client relationships. Acquired advisors can retain their local presence while using Cary Street Partners’ institutional-quality investment capabilities.
For Seneca House, the transaction provides additional scale and access to a wider range of investment solutions. The team believes the combination will support more complex client needs while preserving the planning-based approach on which it built its practice.
Cary Street Partners said it will continue seeking wealth management firms that align with its culture and service standards. The Seneca House acquisition reflects that strategy while strengthening its position in the Richmond market.
