Catalio Closes Structured Opportunities Fund II With Over $325 Million For Healthcare Structured Credit

By Amit Chowdhry • Jan 8, 2026

Catalio Capital Management announced it has closed its second credit fund, Catalio Structured Opportunities Fund II, with more than $325 million in commitments across the fund and related co-investment vehicles, exceeding its fundraising target and signaling continued investor demand for non-dilutive financing options in healthcare.

Catalio launched its Structured Opportunities strategy in late 2021 to provide innovative healthcare companies with alternatives to traditional equity raises, particularly as many companies face tougher fundraising conditions and look to preserve ownership while securing capital to support growth and commercialization.

The strategy primarily targets commercial-stage healthcare companies with scientific and clinical differentiation and identifiable revenue or cash flow drivers. Catalio structures investments across a range that can include senior secured debt and structured equity, tailoring capital solutions to each company’s needs. Catalio said the platform has completed 21 investments to date.

Catalio highlighted recent transactions, including a $20 million credit investment as part of Leo Cancer Care’s $40 million funding round to support the commercialization of upright radiotherapy systems, as well as a $20 million credit investment in Amalgam Rx to help scale medical-grade AI solutions, including FDA-cleared prescription digital therapeutics.
