CBTS Acquires Recovery Point Systems To Expand Disaster Recovery And AI Infrastructure Capabilities

CBTS has acquired Recovery Point Systems, expanding its enterprise disaster recovery, cyber resiliency, and AI infrastructure hosting capabilities. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Recovery Point specializes in fully managed and orchestrated Disaster Recovery as a Service, or DRaaS, and cyber resiliency services designed for enterprise technology environments.

The acquisition adds enterprise-grade disaster recovery capabilities to CBTS’ existing AI-ready infrastructure, cloud and security services.

Recovery Point operates Tier III, fiber-dense data centers that are owned, operated, and positioned for expansion.

Those facilities also support Recovery Point’s managed data center colocation offering, allowing customers to combine infrastructure hosting, resilience and disaster recovery through a single provider.

The combination is particularly relevant as artificial intelligence workloads increase data volumes, computing requirements and the importance of resilient infrastructure.

Organizations increasingly operate across cloud platforms, interconnected software applications, AI tools and external development environments, creating additional cybersecurity and operational risk.

CBTS plans to combine Recovery Point’s disaster recovery expertise with its capabilities across cloud, infrastructure, AI and cybersecurity.

The expanded platform includes Tier III data center infrastructure, fully managed DRaaS with orchestrated execution and measurable service-level agreements, Ransomware Recovery as a Service and AI-powered backup validation.

The offering also includes cyber resiliency across hybrid, multi-cloud and legacy environments as well as recovery testing and performance assurance.

Recovery Point serves organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to small and midsize businesses, along with federal, state and local government customers.

Its recovery capabilities support complex multi-platform environments, including legacy and mainframe systems.

Recovery Point has also been recognized in Gartner’s Market Guide for Disaster Recovery as a Service for six consecutive years and was classified as an Evolved Traditional Disaster Recovery Provider in the 2025 report.

CBTS and its OnX Canada division serve more than 3,000 clients across North America.

Bank Street Group served as exclusive financial advisor to Recovery Point Systems.
