Cedars-Sinai has acquired the Beverly Connection shopping center in Los Angeles as part of a long-term strategy to expand and modernize its main medical campus to meet growing healthcare demands in the region.

The approximately 10-acre site, located one block east of Cedars-Sinai’s existing campus on Beverly Boulevard, is expected to provide future development options as the organization plans for the next generation of patient care. The acquisition reflects ongoing efforts by Cedars-Sinai to address space constraints at its current campus while positioning itself to serve the community for decades to come.

Cedars-Sinai said it does not anticipate any immediate changes to the Beverly Connection, and the retail center will continue normal operations in the near term.

The move builds on a long history of expansion for Cedars-Sinai, which traces its roots to the merger of Cedars of Lebanon Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital in the early 1960s. Since opening its modern medical center in 1976, the organization has grown into one of the nation’s leading academic medical institutions, with more than 17,000 employees and approximately 3,000 physicians.

Leadership emphasized that the acquisition is part of a deliberate, forward-looking approach to ensure the medical center can continue advancing clinical care, research, and education while adapting to the evolving needs of Los Angeles’ population.
