CellsBin has closed a Series A financing led by 108 BioCapital to accelerate commercialization of its Rare-Cell Intelligence platform. The company did not disclose how much it raised.

CellsBin is developing what it calls Rare-Cell Biology, an approach intended to identify and analyze extremely rare cells that can provide information about disease progression, treatment response and patient outcomes.

Its Rare-Cell Intelligence platform combines microfluidics, patented multimodal imaging, single-cell analysis and artificial intelligence.

The platform is designed to detect rare cells, profile their characteristics, monitor biological changes over time, and analyze proprietary datasets using AI.

CellsBin believes these capabilities can give researchers and clinicians information conventional methods may miss, especially when biologically important cells exist only in very small numbers.

The company’s initial commercial and research applications focus on monitoring cell and gene therapies and hematologic cancers.

Over time, CellsBin seeks to establish Rare-Cell Biology as a broader discipline spanning research, drug development, and clinical medicine.

The Series A proceeds will support increased commercial adoption, strategic and channel partnerships, research and product development, expansion of clinical evidence and growth of the company’s scientific, technical and commercial teams.
