Censys announced that it has raised $70 million in strategic funding to accelerate the expansion of its Internet intelligence platform and advance AI-driven security solutions. The financing includes a $40 million Series D equity round alongside $30 million in debt financing.
The Series D round was led by Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital, with participation from Decibel Partners, Greylock Partners, GV, Intel Capital, and additional investors. The company plans to use the new capital to drive product innovation, scale its platform globally, and enhance AI-powered capabilities for modern security operations.
The funding comes as organizations face increasing threats tied to Internet-exposed infrastructure, with adversaries leveraging AI to accelerate attacks and shorten response windows. Censys positions its platform as a real-time intelligence layer that helps enterprises and governments identify vulnerabilities, manage exposure, and proactively defend against cyber threats.
Censys provides a comprehensive, continuously updated map of global Internet infrastructure, enabling security teams to conduct threat hunting, manage attack surfaces, and respond to incidents more effectively. The company reports that its platform is used by more than 300,000 security practitioners worldwide, including organizations representing over half of the Fortune 500.
With the new funding, Censys aims to further integrate AI into its platform, helping customers operationalize intelligence at scale and strengthen defenses against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.
