CenterGate Capital announced that its affiliate made an investment in Canadian Dental Labs, a Toronto-based dental laboratory platform and manufacturer of dental prosthetics and orthodontic appliances.
Canadian Dental Labs is the parent company of several premium dental laboratory groups across Canada, including Shaw Lab Group in Ontario, Protec Dental in British Columbia, Hallmark Dental in Atlantic Canada, and Universal Dental in Alberta.
The company operates 11 state-of-the-art laboratories across Canada. Its product portfolio includes fixed and removable prosthetics and orthodontic appliances manufactured to each patient’s unique specifications.
Canadian Dental Labs serves more than 5,000 independent dental professionals and dental service organizations in key population centers across the country. The company combines national scale, technology leadership, product breadth, and operational expertise with the local relationships and craftsmanship of its member laboratories.
The partnership is expected to support Canadian Dental Labs’ next phase of growth. The company plans to continue investing in its people, technology, and laboratory network while maintaining its focus on quality, service, and technical excellence.
Ali Rezaei will continue to lead Canadian Dental Labs as CEO. CenterGate said Rezaei and the broader CDL team have built a strong reputation in the Canadian dental laboratory market.
For CenterGate, the investment aligns with its strategy of partnering with middle-market companies that have opportunities to scale through operational support and long-term growth initiatives. The firm is based in Austin, Texas, and manages more than $750 million.
