CenterWell (Humana) Completes Acquisition Of Florida Primary Care Platform MaxHealth

CenterWell, the healthcare services division of Humana, announced it has completed its acquisition of MaxHealth from Arsenal Capital Partners and the company’s founder-shareholders. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

MaxHealth is a Florida-based primary care organization with a network of 54 owned primary care clinics, four owned specialty and ancillary clinics, and 24 downstream affiliate clinics across West and South Florida. Together, these facilities provide integrated care to more than 120,000 patients, including more than 80,000 patients participating in value-based care programs.

Following the transaction, MaxHealth will be affiliated with and owned by CenterWell Senior Primary Care, which the company describes as the nation’s largest senior-focused, value-based primary care provider. The acquisition expands CenterWell’s footprint into additional key Florida markets and is expected to increase access to its personalized and integrated care model.

MaxHealth was founded in 2015 and has grown into a leading primary care platform serving adult and senior patients across Florida. The organization is supported by a team of approximately 530 employees, including more than 100 primary care providers and over 30 specialists across 58 owned clinics and 24 affiliated clinics. The company was formed through the combination of three provider organizations: Best Value Healthcare, MAXhealth, and Primary Care Associates, along with 13 additional independent providers under the common ownership of Arsenal Capital Partners.
