Centuri Expands Canadian Footprint With Acquisition Of Connect Atlantic Utility Services

By Amit Chowdhry ● Nov 20, 2025

Centuri Holdings has completed its acquisition of Connect Atlantic Utility Services Corporation, a leading electric utility services provider in Atlantic Canada, marking a significant expansion of Centuri’s capabilities and geographic reach. The transaction establishes Centuri as a dual electric and gas services provider across Canada for the first time, building upon the company’s existing natural gas distribution services delivered through its current subsidiary.

Connect Atlantic Utility Services, known for its union workforce and strong regional presence, provides maintenance, construction, and storm services to electric utilities and developers across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland and Labrador. By bringing CAUS into its operations, Centuri aims to broaden its service offerings and deepen relationships with customers in new and existing markets.

The acquisition aligns with Centuri’s strategy to capitalize on escalating investment across the Canadian power sector, particularly within electric grid modernization, resiliency initiatives, and clean energy integration. Leadership from both organizations emphasized that joining forces will position the combined business to accelerate growth, offer expanded solutions, and meet increasing national demand for modern utility infrastructure.

The transaction also reflects Canada’s long-term commitment to transforming its electricity grid, with nearly two trillion dollars in national investment projected by 2050. Centuri and CAUS expect that their unified resources, operational processes, and technical expertise will allow them to participate more meaningfully in that transition while providing greater value to customers, employees, and stakeholders.

Seale & Associates served as exclusive financial advisor to Centuri, while Bennett Jones LLP provided external legal counsel for the acquisition.

Centuri Holdings, Inc. is a strategic utility infrastructure services company that collaborates with regulated utilities to build and maintain the energy networks that support millions of homes and businesses across the United States and Canada.
