Century Communities acquired substantially all of the assets of HMH Lifestyles, which operates as HistoryMaker Homes, significantly expanding its presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth housing market.
HistoryMaker Homes was founded in 1949 in Fort Worth and is Texas’ longest-standing production homebuilder. The company builds exclusively in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
Century Communities said the acquisition will triple its community count in the market while meaningfully expanding its lot pipeline.
HistoryMaker’s operations will be combined with Century Communities’ existing Dallas-Fort Worth business to create a single division based in Grapevine, Texas.
HistoryMaker division leadership and team members will join Century Communities.
Construction, sales, and closings will continue as scheduled, and homebuyers already under contract will continue working with their existing HistoryMaker Homes teams.
Century Communities will also maintain an ongoing land relationship with Jabez Development, HistoryMaker’s sister land development company.
Jabez will complete development work on select communities for Century Communities, and the companies expect to pursue additional land opportunities together in Dallas-Fort Worth.
