Ceragon Networks secured more than $10 million in selected private network customer bookings during the second quarter of 2026, reflecting growing demand for mission-critical wireless communications across public safety, utilities and smart cities.
The projects span several industries and geographic markets and are intended to help critical infrastructure operators replace aging communications systems, improve operational visibility and maintain reliable connectivity.
Private wireless networks give an organization dedicated communications infrastructure rather than requiring it to depend entirely on public cellular or wired networks.
These systems can be particularly important for first responders, utilities, municipalities and industrial operators that require secure communications, predictable performance and continued operation during emergencies.
Ceragon combines wireless infrastructure products with network planning, deployment, integration and lifecycle services.
CEO Doron Arazi said operators responsible for critical infrastructure are investing in more resilient communications systems as they modernize operations and introduce additional automation.
One of Ceragon’s recent orders came from Clermont County, Ohio, for its Next Generation 9-1-1 initiative.
The 11-site project will replace legacy microwave infrastructure with a modern wireless communications network designed to improve the reliability and resilience of emergency services.
Next Generation 9-1-1 systems modernize emergency communications by supporting digital information and more flexible network architectures than traditional voice-only systems.
Ceragon also received a purchase order from a county government in the Pacific Northwest to modernize an aging P25 public safety communications network.
P25 is a collection of technical standards for digital radio communications used by public safety organizations. The Ceragon system will provide a wireless backbone for first responders operating across challenging mountainous terrain.
In Latin America, the company received an order involving a major metropolitan emergency and security communications network.
Ceragon will provide consulting, network optimization and millimeter-wave implementation services to help expand the public safety system.
Millimeter-wave connections use high-frequency spectrum to deliver substantial wireless capacity. They can support high-speed communications but generally require careful engineering because range and performance can be affected by terrain, obstacles and environmental conditions.
Ceragon also reported customer activity across the utility sector.
A major U.S. electric utility placed an order for a project supporting Fault Detection, Isolation and Restoration across more than 1,000 utility assets.
Fault Detection, Isolation and Restoration systems help an electric grid identify where a problem has occurred, isolate the affected section and restore service to unaffected customers.
Reliable communications are required because sensors, switches, substations and control centers must exchange information rapidly when an outage or equipment failure occurs.
Ceragon said the project is intended to help the utility respond to faults faster and improve grid reliability.
The company also received an additional order from a U.S. utility cooperative to modernize microwave infrastructure connecting substations, command facilities and operations centers.
That network will support daily grid operations while providing a communications foundation for future modernization initiatives.
In the smart city market, a California municipality selected Ceragon for a public Wi-Fi project serving community parks.
The wireless system is intended to expand digital access while offering a faster and potentially more cost-effective deployment option than conventional wired infrastructure.
Public Wi-Fi networks can support internet access for residents and visitors while also creating infrastructure for municipal services, sensors and future smart city applications.
The bookings demonstrate the range of applications supported by Ceragon’s private network portfolio, from emergency communications and grid automation to community connectivity.
