Cerberus Capital Management, a global alternative investment firm, has completed its acquisition of BROCC Finance AB, a technology-driven Swedish banking group specializing in consumer finance across the Nordic region. The deal follows regulatory approval from the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority and marks Cerberus’ latest strategic investment in European financial services.

BROCC operates a digitally integrated platform designed to enhance lending, risk management, and product operations, enabling faster decision-making and a more streamlined customer experience. The acquisition will allow BROCC to accelerate the growth of its core consumer finance business while entering the European market for non-performing loans (NPLs). The company plans to develop a specialized debt restructuring (SDR) business model designed to support consumers and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the continent.

As part of its strategic roadmap, BROCC intends to acquire NPL portfolios and meet SDR-compliant prudential regulatory ratios by the end of 2025. Cerberus’ investment will provide the company with access to additional capital, operating expertise, and a global financial services network, strengthening its expansion into this adjacent segment.

BROCC’s next phase of growth will focus on building a best-in-class debt finance platform, combining advanced risk analytics and a data-driven infrastructure with its established presence in Sweden and Finland. The company aims to leverage these capabilities to offer innovative restructuring and financial solutions that enhance stability and value creation for both customers and institutional partners.
