Cerebral Buys Behavioral Health Organization Resilience Lab

By Amit Chowdhry • Aug 7, 2025

Cerebral, a virtual mental health provider, has acquired Resilience Lab, a behavioral health organization known for its outcomes-focused care. The acquisition looks to create a comprehensive mental health delivery system that addresses key industry challenges, including the lack of consistent clinical outcome data and a shortage of mental health professionals.

By combining forces, the two organizations will work to seamlessly integrate psychiatry and therapy. The new platform will allow prescribers and therapists to collaborate on shared treatment plans, ensuring patients receive a unified and personalized care experience.

The deal also gives Cerebral access to Resilience Lab’s proprietary clinician development platform, which is designed to combat burnout and high turnover. This platform trains and certifies early-career therapists through intensive supervision, helping to expand the clinical workforce while ensuring consistent, high-quality care. Cerebral plans to scale this methodology to build a best-in-class provider network.

KEY QUOTES:

“Our mission is to set a new standard for the quality of integrated mental health care. We are combining Cerebral’s clinical breadth, operational consistency and scale with Resilience Lab’s clinical training and rigor to become a center of excellence for clinical care.”

Brian Reinken, CEO of Cerebral

“Our clinician development model was developed by clinicians for clinicians, and is focused both on therapists and on prescribers. By investing deeply in early-career therapists – through supervision, training, and measurement-informed care – we ensure higher quality, consistent outcomes. Clients get better care, and payors get a more reliable, scalable system that drives measurable improvement.”
