Ceres AI, the San Francisco-based data and artificial intelligence company focused on agricultural and environmental intelligence, has raised $13 million in new funding led by Remus Capital.

The funding will support the expansion of the company’s platform known as Artificial Intelligence for Agricultural Intelligence, which provides high-resolution insight into agricultural performance and risk. Ceres AI currently collaborates with major global agribusiness and financial services companies, having analyzed over 17 billion plant-level measurements across 32 million acres worldwide.

The company plans to scale its data platform across more than 40 crop types while deepening its product integration across insurance, lending, and operational workflows. Leadership emphasized that agriculture is experiencing a structural shift toward AI-driven decision-making, and Ceres AI is positioning itself at the core of this transition.

As part of the funding transaction, Remus Capital Partner John Tincoff will join the Ceres AI board. In addition, Remus Capital will appoint an AI agent named Arista to the board, marking what the company describes as the first appointment of an artificial intelligence board member. According to Ceres AI, Arista will provide data-backed insights to support informed decision-making by leaders.

Ceres AI, which operates across North America, Europe, Latin America, and Australia, develops AI and imagery-based tools that help agribusinesses, lenders, and insurers evaluate risk and optimize outcomes.
