CertifID announced that it has acquired CloseSimple, a closing communication and automation platform used by hundreds of title companies across the U.S.
CertifID provides a platform for real estate wire fraud prevention. CloseSimple provides tools for closing communication, client-facing portals, automated status updates, and integrations with title production systems.
The acquisition brings together two platforms focused on improving the real estate closing process at a time when title companies are facing rising expectations for digital experiences and increasing fraud risks.
CertifID said the homebuying population is shifting as millennials become the largest cohort of active homebuyers and Gen Z is projected to account for 30% of all homebuyers by 2030. And while consumers can increasingly search for, tour, finance, and insure homes from their phones, many closing processes still rely on email threads, manual status calls, and paper-based workflows.
The companies said the combination is designed to help title companies deliver more secure and modern closings while reducing manual work. CertifID brings wire fraud prevention capabilities, including more than $283 million in fraud blocked and $132 million recovered on behalf of fraud victims.
CloseSimple adds automation and communication tools that help title companies keep buyers, sellers, agents, lenders, and other parties aligned throughout the closing process.
With CloseSimple now part of CertifID, the combined platform is expected to deepen integrations with title production systems, accelerate the use of AI across closing workflows, and help customers stay ahead of emerging fraud threats.
CertifID said the combined offering will support closing automation that matches the pace of modern real estate while building protection into every transaction.
