Chamelio Raises $26 Million Series A Led By Entrée Capital To Expand AI-Powered Legal Operations

Chamelio, a New York-based developer of AI-powered software for corporate legal departments, has raised a $26 million Series A led by Entrée Capital, with participation from existing investors Work-Bench and Emerge Ventures, as well as Bright Pixel Capital. The financing follows significant growth at the company, which reported that its annual recurring revenue has quadrupled in the five months since its seed round. Chamelio will use the capital to develop its proprietary legal action model, expand its legal engineering and product teams, and improve its technology for onboarding customers migrating from legacy contract management systems.

Founded in 2024 by Alex Zilberman, Gal Lellouche, and Gil Banyas, Chamelio is developing an AI-native platform designed to automate legal work performed by in-house corporate legal teams.

Zilberman serves as CEO, Lellouche as CTO, and Banyas, a former general counsel, as COO.

The company currently serves hundreds of customers, including Wiz, monday.com, Socure, AppsFlyer, and Wonderful.ai.

Its latest financing comes as corporate legal departments face increasing workloads while operating under budget and staffing constraints.

Many organizations continue to rely on conventional contract lifecycle management systems primarily designed to store documents and manage approval processes. Although these platforms can organize contract information, much of the underlying legal work still requires manual intervention.

Chamelio aims to address these limitations by developing AI agents that can perform legal tasks rather than simply retrieve documents or provide information to attorneys.

The platform supports the entire contract lifecycle, including drafting, negotiation, approvals, obligation management, legal intake, and ongoing legal workflows.

Its proprietary legal action model is designed to leverage an organization’s existing contracts and internal legal knowledge to perform work in accordance with its established requirements.

For example, the platform can draft agreements based on a company’s contract history, review proposed terms, negotiate routine provisions, route approval requests, and track contractual obligations.

Chamelio also supports multistep legal workflows that connect different departments and applications within an organization.

The platform allows customers to configure AI agents to complete routine, low-risk legal tasks autonomously, while maintaining attorney involvement when a matter requires additional review or professional judgment.

This approach is intended to shift the responsibilities of in-house legal teams away from repetitive administrative execution and toward oversight, negotiation strategy, and complex legal decisions.

Corporate customers can also build their own AI agents for activities involving procurement, finance, product development, human resources, compliance, and sales.

These capabilities allow legal departments to support other business functions while maintaining consistent processes for managing contracts and legal requests.

Chamelio integrates with widely used enterprise applications, including Salesforce, Slack, NetSuite, and procurement systems.

The company also provides dedicated legal engineering expertise as part of its customer deployments.

Its legal engineers help organizations migrate from legacy systems, organize existing contract repositories, translate internal legal procedures into automated workflows, and deploy AI agents into production.

The service model is designed to address one of the challenges facing companies adopting legal AI: integrating new technology with existing documents, business rules, and approval processes.

Chamelio plans to expand its legal engineering and product teams using the Series A proceeds while investing further in technology that simplifies the migration of customers from traditional contract management software.

The company is positioning its platform as a unified system for legal information, workflow execution, and AI-assisted decision-making.

Its growth also reflects increasing interest in technology that can help legal departments handle more work without relying exclusively on additional hiring.

Chamelio cited CLOC’s 2026 State of the Industry Report, which found that only 32% of legal departments expected to increase attorney headcount during the year.

By combining AI agents with human oversight and dedicated legal engineering support, Chamelio aims to offer businesses an alternative to legacy contract lifecycle management software.

KEY QUOTES:

“The mistake in legal AI has been assuming the future simply looks like today’s lawyer with faster contractual fact-checking. AI in a legal setting shows dividends when it can make decisions intuitively, built on the corporate intelligence of each individual business. This is what Chamelio does. We ensure in-house legal departments deliver watertight contracts and outputs at AI speed, validated by the rigor of lawyers.”

“Chamelio is empowering the next era of legal operations, one which includes vital human legal judgment, backed by legal engineers who turn that knowledge into systems and AI agents. With our platform underpinning every facet of in-house contract execution, we are redefining how in-house legal activities are carried out.”

Alex Zilberman, Co-Founder and CEO of Chamelio

“Chamelio is building the AI-native operating system for in-house legal teams – becoming the system of record, system of action, and system of intelligence for the modern legal function. What stood out to us was not only the strength of the product, but how quickly Chamelio’s founders execute, learn from customer feedback, and turn that feedback into a product with category-defining potential.”
