Charles Schwab Foundation announced a $2.85 million multi-year expansion of its partnership with SIFMA Foundation to broaden access to investing education for students across the United States. The initiative comes as young people face growing exposure to speculative financial products, misinformation, and get-rich-quick schemes.

The expanded commitment builds on a partnership that has spanned nearly a decade and is aimed at helping students develop trusted investing knowledge and long-term financial decision-making skills.

Through the new funding, Charles Schwab Foundation will support several initiatives led by SIFMA Foundation. These include integrating The Stock Market Game into Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Money Matters curriculum, expanding the Capitol Hill Challenge, and extending the Stock Market Game Summer Session to homes, camps, libraries, and community organizations.

The Capitol Hill Challenge pairs public middle and high school students with Members of Congress to promote investing knowledge and civic engagement, with a particular focus on schools serving students from under-resourced communities. The Summer Session initiative is designed to provide continued opportunities for students to practice investing concepts while outside the classroom.

Charles Schwab Foundation said the expanded partnership is part of a broader effort to support youth financial education. Over the next three years, the foundation has committed more than $20 million to nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping young people build financial knowledge, confidence, and practical skills.

SIFMA Foundation noted that its flagship Stock Market Game program has reached nearly 24 million students since its launch in 1977. In addition to the Stock Market Game, the organization offers free programs such as Summer Stock Market Game and Family InvestQuest, which teach saving, investing, compound growth, and wealth-building through hands-on experiences.
