Chase has expanded its Ultimate Rewards program with a new “Invest Your Points” feature that allows eligible cardmembers to redeem rewards points for cash and direct those funds into eligible J.P. Morgan Wealth Management investment accounts.
The feature connects Chase’s credit card rewards ecosystem more directly with J.P. Morgan’s investing platform. Customers can redeem points for cash to invest through an eligible J.P. Morgan Self-Directed Investing account or work with a J.P. Morgan advisor to invest through an eligible taxable investment account.
For customers using J.P. Morgan Self-Directed Investing, the experience is available through the Chase Mobile app and Chase.com, allowing users to manage rewards redemption and investing within the same digital environment.
Once Ultimate Rewards points have been converted into cash, customers decide how to invest the money according to their own goals and risk tolerance.
The launch gives Chase another redemption option alongside travel, cash back, statement credits and gift cards.
Ultimate Rewards points are earned across several major Chase credit card families, including Chase Freedom, Chase Ink and Chase Sapphire. Available redemption options vary depending on the individual card.
The new capability reflects a broader effort by JPMorgan Chase to connect products across its banking, credit card and wealth management businesses.
For cardholders already using Chase for banking or credit cards, Invest Your Points creates a more direct path from everyday rewards to an investment account without requiring the user to separately redeem points, move cash between institutions and then initiate an investment.
The integration could also introduce investing to customers who historically used their rewards primarily for travel, cash back or purchases.
J.P. Morgan Self-Directed Investing gives customers access to thousands of stocks, exchange-traded funds, mutual funds and U.S. Treasuries through Chase’s digital platforms.
The company offers unlimited commission-free online trading for eligible securities, although certain products and transactions can carry separate fees and investment expenses.
Chase is also using the rewards integration to highlight the scale of its broader wealth management operation.
J.P. Morgan Wealth Management has more than 6,000 advisors and approximately $1.4 trillion in assets under supervision. Customers can invest digitally, remotely or through advisors based in Chase branches and other J.P. Morgan offices.
That distribution network gives JPMorgan Chase several potential paths for customers who begin investing through rewards.
A customer could remain entirely self-directed, or potentially transition toward an advisory relationship as their investment needs become more complex.
The Invest Your Points feature therefore serves as both an additional loyalty-program benefit and another connection between Chase’s consumer card business and J.P. Morgan Wealth Management.
That cross-platform approach is increasingly important for large financial institutions seeking to keep customers within a single financial ecosystem.
Rather than using one company for credit cards, another for banking and a third for investing, Chase is attempting to make those activities accessible through one account relationship and digital interface.
The company serves more than 87 million consumers and 7.5 million small businesses through products spanning banking, credit cards, mortgages, auto financing, investment advice, business lending and payments.
JPMorgan Chase had approximately $5 trillion in assets and $375 billion in stockholders’ equity as of June 30, 2026.
For Chase, adding investing as an Ultimate Rewards redemption pathway also broadens the concept of what a credit card reward can represent.
Instead of being used only for immediate consumption, rewards can now be converted into investable cash that may remain in a customer’s portfolio over a longer period.
The feature is particularly notable because it sits at the intersection of two major JPMorgan Chase businesses: one of the largest U.S. credit card rewards ecosystems and a wealth management platform overseeing roughly $1.4 trillion in client assets.
Invest Your Points is available to eligible cardmembers using qualifying J.P. Morgan investment accounts.
