Chatfuel: $1.5 Million Raised To Launch AI-Native Operating System For Service SMBs

Chatfuel, a communications-automation startup based in San Francisco, has raised $1.5 million in seed funding to launch an AI-native operating system tailored for service-industry small and midsize businesses (SMBs). The funding was led by Pre-seed to Succeed (backed by AltaIR Capital, Yellow Rocks!, Smart Partnership Capital, and I2BF Global Ventures), with participation from Àlber Blanc and leading angels, including Ershad Jamil, Chatfuel Advisor.

The platform was designed for business owners — from plastic surgery clinics to hair salons — to manage customer interactions in under 30 seconds. Trained on over 150 billion real-world conversations, the plug-and-play AI agent captures leads, qualifies them, and books clients automatically from Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. This approach aims to prevent lost leads and boost repeat sales, all without the manual hassle.

Chatfuel’s mission is simple: equip every small business owner with automation capabilities that have traditionally been reserved for large enterprises — but without the complexity or expense.
