Chatham Financial has entered into a definitive strategic investment agreement with Vikram S. Pandit, chairman and CEO of The Orogen Group, Atairos, and GIC. Each investor will become a long-term capital partner in the independent capital markets advisory firm. Chatham’s employees will continue to hold majority ownership of the company following the investment.
Chatham said the new capital partnership will support its existing long-term strategy and enable continued investment across areas of growth. The firm provides capital markets advice and technology to more than 4,500 companies worldwide through 12 offices and handles approximately $2 trillion in annual transaction volume.
The investment follows several recent expansion initiatives. Chatham recently acquired Hodes Weill & Associates, a global capital advisory firm focused on real estate, infrastructure, and other real assets. The company also launched Chatham Onyx, its next-generation technology platform, during its Global Client Summit in New York in June.
Leadership will remain in place following the transaction. Matt Henry will continue as CEO, Amol Dhargalkar will remain chairman, and Pandit will join Chatham’s board.
The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. The parties expect the deal to close in late Q4 2026 or early Q1 2027.
Support: Latham & Watkins served as legal advisor to Chatham Financial, while Davis Polk & Wardwell advised the investors.
