Cherry Bekaert, a national professional services firm, announced the acquisition of Calvetti Ferguson, P.C., a Houston-headquartered accounting and advisory firm with additional offices in Dallas/Fort Worth, San Antonio, and Nashville. The transaction significantly expands Cherry Bekaert’s presence across Texas while strengthening its position in the Nashville market.
Founded in 2003, Calvetti Ferguson serves middle-market clients across a range of industries, including real estate and construction, energy and oil & gas, private equity and venture capital, financial services, manufacturing, professional services, nonprofits, and technology.
The acquisition supports Cherry Bekaert’s strategy of serving middle-market businesses through digitally driven, industry-focused solutions. By adding Calvetti Ferguson’s professionals, industry expertise, and regional footprint, the combined firm aims to enhance its service offerings and deepen its presence throughout the Southwest and Mid-South regions.
The transaction also expands the firm’s scale and capabilities in key sectors such as real estate, energy, private equity, and financial services, while broadening its geographic reach.
As part of the acquisition, Cherry Bekaert Advisory LLC acquired Calvetti Ferguson’s nonattest assets, while Cherry Bekaert LLP acquired the firm’s attest assets. Following the transaction, Calvetti Ferguson will be fully integrated into Cherry Bekaert and operate under the Cherry Bekaert brand.
