Cherry Bekaert announced it has acquired the business of Richardson Kontogouris Emerson LLP, a public accounting and advisory firm serving clients since 2006.
Headquartered in Torrance, California, RKE expands Cherry Bekaert’s presence on the West Coast and strengthens its ability to serve middle-market clients in Southern California. RKE has advised companies across industries, including manufacturing and consumer products, real estate, construction, and food and beverage, providing accounting, tax, financial, litigation support, and strategic planning services.
Cherry Bekaert said the acquisition enhances its capabilities for middle-market companies, founders and private investors by combining RKE’s local relationships with the firm’s national resources and broader advisory platform.
Under the transaction, Cherry Bekaert Advisory LLC will acquire all assets related to RKE’s business advisory, tax and other nonattest services, while Cherry Bekaert LLP will acquire RKE’s attest assets. RKE will be integrated into Cherry Bekaert and operate under the Cherry Bekaert brand.
