Cherry Bekaert announced it has acquired Tarsus, a Washington, DC-based accounting and advisory firm known for outsourced accounting, bookkeeping, real-time financial reporting and KPI reporting, strategic CFO services, and data insights for management teams.
The deal expands Cherry Bekaert’s Outsourced Accounting and CFO Advisory capabilities while adding scale in the Washington, DC and Kansas City markets. The firm said the combination will strengthen service delivery for clients in technology, government contracting, private equity, and professional services.
Tarsus is headquartered in Washington, DC and operates additional offices in California, Missouri, and Bangalore, India. Cherry Bekaert said Tarsus brings deep experience in outsourced accounting solutions, particularly across technology, government contracting, staffing, private equity, and professional services, and that integrating these capabilities will further build out Cherry Bekaert’s existing outsourced accounting platform.
Cherry Bekaert provides assurance, tax, and advisory services across the U.S. and internationally through an alternative practice structure, with Cherry Bekaert LLP providing attest services and Cherry Bekaert Advisory LLC providing business advisory and non-attest services.
