ChipAgents has raised an additional $60 million in Series A2 financing, expanding its Series A round to $134 million six months after the initial closing. B Capital joined the round as a new investor alongside Bessemer Venture Partners, Micron, MediaTek, Ericsson, ScOp and other existing backers.
The financing follows a sixfold increase in annual recurring revenue during the first half of 2026 and deployments across more than 120 semiconductor companies, including MediaTek and Micron. Founded in 2024, ChipAgents has now raised more than $134 million.
The company will use the funding to scale customer deployments, expand its engineering and go-to-market teams and accelerate development of its AI-native semiconductor design platform. ChipAgents is targeting increasing demand for tools that can shorten chip design timelines while improving engineering productivity.
Semiconductor development requires engineers to translate technical specifications into register-transfer level code, build verification environments, identify design errors and determine the root causes of failures. These workflows are increasingly complex as chips incorporate more processing units, memory interfaces, accelerators and specialized functions.
ChipAgents uses domain-specific AI agents to automate portions of the design, verification and debugging process. Unlike conventional AI copilots that primarily suggest code or assist with individual tasks, its agents are designed to plan and execute multi-step engineering workflows more autonomously.
The platform can transform specifications and source code into production-ready register-transfer level assets, verification materials and automated root-cause analysis. ChipAgents says the technology can reduce design cycles by more than 50% and compress work that previously required months or weeks into days or hours.
Automating these tasks could help semiconductor companies respond to increasing architectural complexity and time-to-market pressure without expanding engineering teams at the same rate. However, production chip development requires high reliability because undetected flaws can create expensive redesigns, manufacturing delays or product failures.
ChipAgents is positioning its platform as an autonomous engineering layer that complements human design and verification teams. Its deployment across more than 120 companies represents one of the semiconductor industry’s larger commercial implementations of agentic AI.
