Cisco Launches AI Infrastructure Innovations Across Neocloud, Enterprise, And Telecom

By Amit Chowdhry • Oct 29, 2025

Cisco Systems has unveiled a new suite of AI innovations developed in collaboration with NVIDIA, including the Cisco N9100 Series switch, a NVIDIA Cloud Partner-compliant reference architecture, and an AI-native wireless stack designed for next-generation 6G networks. Announced at NVIDIA GTC 2025 in Washington, D.C., the launches mark a significant step in Cisco’s strategy to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance AI infrastructure across data centers, enterprises, and telecommunications networks worldwide.

At the core of the rollout is the Cisco N9100 Series, powered by NVIDIA Spectrum-X Ethernet technology. The switch enables neocloud and sovereign cloud providers to deploy open, flexible AI data centers, offering the choice between Cisco’s NX-OS and the open-source SONiC operating system. This architecture provides the low latency and bandwidth efficiency required for large-scale AI training and inference workloads, while maintaining interoperability with diverse environments.

In addition, Cisco expanded its Secure AI Factory platform, built jointly with NVIDIA, to strengthen observability, data security, and compliance for enterprise AI deployments.

The enhanced platform integrates advanced monitoring and defense mechanisms to protect sensitive model data and ensure reliable AI lifecycle management. Together, these innovations underscore Cisco’s growing role in the global AI infrastructure ecosystem, bridging advanced networking, security, and cloud technologies to support the next generation of intelligent, distributed computing.
