Citizens Capital Markets & Advisory has added Whitney Mikell as a Managing Director on its Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging & Leisure Investment Banking team.
Mikell will lead Citizens’ hotel and non-gaming lodging coverage while also supporting the firm’s broader real estate investment banking practice.
He joins Citizens from UBS, where he spent 15 years advising clients on real estate investment banking and capital markets transactions.
Based in New York, Mikell will work alongside senior members of Citizens’ Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging & Leisure team, including Ryan Abbe, Brady Stern, Chris Lynch and Josh Maio.
He will report to Jason Miller, Head of Diversified Industries at Citizens.
During his time at UBS, Mikell advised companies across a range of strategic and capital markets transactions, with particular experience in lodging and broader real estate.
His work included helping institutional clients evaluate financing, growth and strategic opportunities.
Citizens said Mikell’s appointment strengthens the bank’s sector-specific advisory capabilities as it continues investing in its investment banking platform.
The hire also expands Citizens’ coverage of hotel and lodging companies, giving the firm additional senior-level expertise across real estate capital markets and strategic advisory.
