Claremont Lincoln University announced a new course-based tuition model designed to expand access to undergraduate education while improving pricing transparency for students.

Beginning with the Summer 1 term on April 27, 2026, the nonprofit institution will transition from a traditional per-credit-hour tuition structure to a flat per-course pricing model. Under the new framework, students will pay $270 per course, replacing the previous rate of $250 per credit hour.

University leaders said the change is intended to provide students with clearer and more predictable costs throughout their academic journey. Through the new model, students can complete a 60-credit baccalaureate completion program for $5,400.

The updated pricing structure also includes a one-time $125 application fee, along with textbook costs where applicable.

Claremont Lincoln University said the initiative was supported by the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy, whose partnership with the institution is focused on improving access to higher education while supporting leadership development in the public and nonprofit sectors.

Eligible full-time students may complete their undergraduate degrees in as little as 24 months under the program, which the university says is designed to eliminate hidden fees and unexpected tuition increases while maintaining academic quality and career relevance.

The university, accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission, offers fully online degree programs aimed at preparing professionals to address social, economic, and environmental challenges while advancing careers in public service and nonprofit leadership.
