Clarity Pediatrics, a telehealth company focused on virtual specialty care for chronic pediatric conditions, announced it has raised $14.5 million in Series A financing and plans to expand its platform into pediatric obesity care, with an obesity-services launch targeted for early 2026.
The round was led by Jackson Square Ventures and included new participation from City Light Capital, MassMutual Catalyst Fund II, GingerBread Capital, Scrub Capital, and Operator Collective. Existing backers Rethink Impact, Maverick Ventures, and Homebrew also participated. The company said the new capital will support the obesity-care rollout, continued product development of its virtual clinic platform, and geographic expansion beyond its current footprint.
Clarity Pediatrics currently serves families in California and Texas and said more than 1,600 pediatricians across those states are already referring commercial and Medicaid patients for its comprehensive virtual ADHD and anxiety care. The company positions its model as a way to address access constraints in pediatric specialty care, citing shortages of specialists, insurance limitations, and long wait times that can delay treatment for common chronic conditions.
In expanding into pediatric obesity care, Clarity said it will base services on American Academy of Pediatrics clinical guidelines and continue its multi-specialty, pediatrician-led approach. The company’s care model includes telehealth visits, coordinated support from pediatricians and specialists, and family-centered group care designed to help families manage chronic conditions over time. Clarity also highlighted outcomes from its behavioral programs, reporting that a large majority of participating parents perceived a significant impact and that many families saw improvements in challenging child behaviors within weeks.
Clarity said its longer-term roadmap includes adding support for additional chronic conditions and continuing toward broader, potentially national, expansion.
KEY QUOTES:
“Obesity is the fastest growing pediatric chronic condition in the US today, quadrupling in prevalence over the last 40 years. The prevalence of pediatric obesity is higher in Black and Hispanic children, especially those from low income families covered by Medicaid. As a pediatrician-led organization, we’re committed to equipping providers and families with evidence-based solutions that improve both access and outcomes for all children with chronic conditions. Our expansion into pediatric obesity care with this funding is the next step in this journey.”
Dr. Alesandro Larrazabal, Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer, Clarity Pediatrics
“Every pediatrician I have spoken with says the same thing: Clarity is delivering the gold standard of care for chronic pediatric conditions that families simply cannot access anywhere else. That kind of direct feedback from front-line clinicians was practically all I needed to know to invest. Clarity is not offering point solutions or stand alone therapy. They are building a true pediatric specialty platform that brings behavioral therapy, behavioral parent coaching, and medical oversight together in one place. Their commitment to clinical excellence, not shortcuts, is what sets them apart and what will change the trajectory of health for millions of children.”
Victor Echevarria, Managing Director, Jackson Square Ventures
“89% of parents who participate in our group behavioral programs said Clarity had a ‘large’ impact on their lives, and 3 in 4 families report that challenging child behaviors improved after only 8 weeks. With a focus on early intervention and long-term support, Clarity aims to reduce symptoms, suffering, and overall healthcare costs, ultimately putting children on a healthier path for life.”
