Claros Technologies announced that Jack Cogen has joined its Board of Directors. Cogen brings more than three decades of leadership experience across environmental markets, finance, energy, and technology. He is the founder and former CEO of Natsource Asset Management and has also served on the board of CoreWeave.
The appointment comes as Claros transitions from technology validation to commercial scale. The company is expanding deployment of its ClarosTechUV PFAS destruction technology and ClarosLabs PFAS detection solution across municipal, industrial, and environmental remediation markets.
Cogen founded and led Natsource Asset Management from 1994 to 2014, building an advisory and asset management firm focused on environmental and energy markets. He also served as Chair of the International Emissions Trading Association from 2008 to 2011 and continues to serve the organization as an IETA Fellow.
Since 2017, Cogen has served on the board of CoreWeave, an AI cloud infrastructure company focused on high-performance computing services powered by advanced semiconductor technologies.
Claros said Cogen’s experience helping guide companies through rapid growth, commercialization, and complex financing environments will support its next phase of expansion.
Claros has developed its proprietary ClarosTechUV platform to permanently destroy PFAS compounds without generating hazardous byproducts. The company has also expanded its analytical capabilities through ClarosLabs, which provides accredited PFAS testing services for industrial, municipal, and environmental customers.
The board appointment comes as regulatory scrutiny of PFAS, commonly known as “forever chemicals,” continues to intensify and demand grows for proven destruction technologies.
Founded in 2018 and based in Minneapolis, Claros Technologies focuses on PFAS mitigation through its ClarosTech division for destruction systems and ClarosLabs analytical division for PFAS detection, quantification, and exposure assessment.
