Clean Cans Acquires Bin Shine Customer Portfolio To Expand Central Florida Bin Cleaning Operations

Clean Cans CFL has completed its second acquisition in five months, absorbing the customer portfolio of Central Florida bin cleaning operator Bin Shine. The deal expands Clean Cans’ footprint across the Greater Orlando region and signals the company’s strategy of partnering with independent operators looking for a trusted transition path for their businesses.

The acquisition follows Clean Cans’ October 2025 purchase of Bin Gator and continues the company’s push to consolidate residential trash and recycling bin cleaning services across the region. With the addition of Bin Shine’s customers, Clean Cans strengthens its coverage across dozens of ZIP codes in Central Florida while reinforcing a model that provides small operators with a clear exit strategy.

Unlike the earlier acquisition, Bin Shine’s growth was driven largely through referrals, community relationships and word of mouth rather than promotional discounts or large-scale marketing campaigns. Clean Cans founder Steven Button said the company views that kind of customer loyalty as especially valuable because it reflects long-standing trust between operators and the communities they serve.

For many independent residential service providers, options for transitioning out of the business can be limited. Owners typically must either find a buyer independently or shut down operations entirely. Clean Cans says it is working to establish an alternative approach by acquiring local operators while maintaining existing service relationships and preserving the trust built with customers.

Under the terms of the agreement, Bin Shine customers will continue receiving uninterrupted service as Clean Cans integrates the accounts into its operations. The company said it intends to honor all existing service commitments and maintain the neighborhood-focused service approach that originally built those relationships.

Clean Cans currently operates across 77 ZIP codes in the Greater Orlando area. Founded by Steven Button, the company has expanded through a combination of organic growth, local partnerships and acquisitions. With two deals completed in five months, the company indicated it plans to continue exploring additional acquisition opportunities across Central Florida, particularly with operators considering retirement, business transitions or other next steps.

KEY QUOTES:

“Kevin and Laureano built their business the right way – through trust, not discounts. When operators like them decide to move on, they don’t want their customers abandoned or handed off to someone who treats them like a spreadsheet. That’s why they came to us. We plan to honor every relationship they built, and we’re ready for that same conversation with any Central Florida operator thinking about their next chapter.”

Steven Button, Founder Of Clean Cans

“After years of building this business together, we knew Clean Cans was the right home for our customers. Steven’s team cares about this community like we do. Our customers aren’t just numbers to them – they’re neighbors. That matters when you’re handing over something you built from the ground up.”
