Clear Labs, a provider of fully automated and next-generation sequencing (NGS) platforms for turnkey diagnostics, announced it secured $30 million in its Series D financing. The funding round was led by a strategic investor, along with participation from existing investors, including Counterpoint Global, Felicis, GV, HBM Genomics, Khosla Ventures, Menlo Ventures, Nimble Ventures, Redmile Group, Wing Venture Capital, and funds and accounts advised by T. Rowe Price Associates.
Following a strong growth trajectory, including new innovative assays and enhancements to the Clear Dx platform, the funding enables Clear Labs to continue accelerating the development and adoption of its NGS solutions while scaling operations to meet the demand for fully automated turnkey genomics solutions worldwide.
Clear Labs’ NGS platform accelerates outcomes and improves accuracy by fully automating the entire sequencing workflow, including the process of translating DNA sequencing data into genomic insights. And the company has a significant presence in the U.S. and is expanding internationally into new regions, including Europe and Latin America.
With this funding news, Clear Labs is adding Kevin Keegan, Becton Dickinson’s Vice President and Global Platform Leader, Molecular Diagnostics, to its Board of Directors. Keegan was previously Illumina’s Vice President and General Manager of Oncology.
As the pioneer in turnkey genomic applications, Clear Labs democratized NGS for infectious diseases. And the Series D funding enables the company to expand to additional markets while supporting its mission to liberate genomics to all and advance healthcare through innovation.
