Clifford Chance: Adriana Zhan Joins As Partner To Accelerate US Tax And Private Capital Growth

Global law firm Clifford Chance has strengthened its corporate, private capital, and M&A tax capabilities with the addition of Adriana Zhan as a partner in its Tax, Pensions and Employment group. Based in New York, Zhan’s appointment is aimed at accelerating the firm’s strategic expansion of its transactional platform in the US market.

Zhan brings extensive experience advising on cross-border and domestic taxation, including tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, private capital transactions, securities offerings, restructurings, and investment funds. She also advises clients on US tax matters related to partnerships, FIRPTA, and sovereign investors.

The hire reinforces Clifford Chance’s broader push to expand its private capital offering, following recent additions across its US platform. Zhan is the third addition to the firm’s US tax team in New York over the past 12 months, reflecting continued investment in complex, multi-jurisdictional tax advisory capabilities.
