Global law firm Clifford Chance has appointed Alexandra Wilde as Office Managing Partner of its Houston office, highlighting the firm’s continued investment in the US market and its broader growth strategy across the Americas.

Wilde joined Clifford Chance in 2023 as a partner in the Corporate M&A practice when the firm opened its Houston office. She advises private equity and strategic investors on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, minority and majority investments, joint ventures, and other corporate matters.

Her experience spans a range of sectors, including energy, infrastructure, and industrial markets. Wilde has worked extensively on transactions involving energy transition technologies such as solar, wind, battery storage, biofuels, and other clean and renewable energy initiatives, as well as traditional upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas projects. Her work also covers transportation and logistics, manufacturing, defense, aerospace, and specialty chemicals.

The Houston office was launched in 2023 to expand Clifford Chance’s global energy and infrastructure capabilities in one of the most important energy hubs in the world. Since opening, the office has grown to more than 40 attorneys and advises clients on energy, infrastructure, environmental transactions, regulatory, tax, M&A, private capital, technology, and Latin American matters.

The leadership appointment reflects the firm’s focus on strengthening its presence in Texas and supporting clients involved in complex cross-border transactions and private capital activity in sectors central to the region’s economy.
