Clifford Chance Appoints Marc Mehlen As Managing Partner In Luxembourg

Clifford Chance has appointed Marc Mehlen as Managing Partner of its Luxembourg office, effective May 1, 2026. Mehlen succeeds Katia Gauzès, whose tenure strengthened client engagement and reinforced the office’s strategic global relationships.

Mehlen joined Clifford Chance in 2000 and became a partner in 2007, building a career spanning more than 25 years at the firm. His practice focuses on structured debt, private credit, and restructuring transactions. The appointment marks a continuation of Clifford Chance’s long-term investment in its Luxembourg presence, one of the leading offices in the market across products and practices both locally and globally.
