Clifford Chance has appointed Matt Snodgrass as counsel in its Debt Finance practice in Houston, expanding its energy and infrastructure financing capabilities. His appointment represents the firm’s fifth senior addition to its Houston office since May 2026, supporting Clifford Chance’s continued expansion in the Texas legal market.
Snodgrass advises lenders, public and private borrowers, and private equity sponsors on complex financing arrangements and commercial lending transactions.
His experience includes domestic and cross-border financings, asset-based lending, syndicated loans, energy-related financing, debt capital markets transactions, and distressed financing situations.
At Clifford Chance, he will work alongside the firm’s finance, corporate, capital markets, and restructuring lawyers to support clients involved in energy and infrastructure investments.
His arrival follows the recent additions of Matt Jones and Carter Olson, further strengthening the firm’s Houston-based energy and infrastructure finance team.
Clifford Chance has more than 450 attorneys across its offices in New York, Washington, D.C., Houston, and São Paulo.
The firm’s Americas practice advises clients on corporate transactions, finance, private capital, energy and infrastructure, regulatory matters, litigation, and cross-border investments.
