Clifford Chance: María Guinot Named As Partner In Spain

Global law firm Clifford Chance announced that María Guinot has been appointed as a partner in its Litigation & Dispute Resolution team, boosting its commercial litigation and regulatory investigations offering, with a focus on the financial services sector. And she will join the firm in the coming weeks.

As a State Attorney of the Kingdom of Spain on leave of absence, María Guinot is a renowned practitioner with over twenty years of experience advising on all fields related to public authorities and regulated sectors, with a strong focus on the financial services sector.

Senior positions held while she worked for the Spanish Public Administration included serving as Director of Regulation and Compliance at SAREB, a public entity responsible for managing and liquidating impaired assets (loans and real estate) from financial institutions that require public aid. Over the past decade, she has led Deloitte’s Legal Division in Spain and the Regulated Sectors practice at CMS Spain.
