Clifford Chance announced that Matthias Kerbusch has joined its Luxembourg office, adding to the firm’s funds bench as it continues to build out its global private capital offering.
Kerbusch, who began his career at Clifford Chance, returns to the firm from Dechert. His practice focuses on the formation and restructuring of Luxembourg-based investment funds, with an emphasis on alternative asset classes, including structures designed for retail access to private assets. He also advises institutional investors on limited partner due diligence.
The hire adds to Clifford Chance’s broader push to expand its private capital capabilities globally. The firm said its Global Private Capital team includes more than 1,450 lawyers across Europe, the U.S., Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa. Clifford Chance also pointed to recent lateral additions across multiple offices, including hires in London, New York, Singapore and Paris.
