Cloud Software Group will acquire Arctera, a global data management company formed in 2024 from Veritas’ Enterprise Data Protection business and Cohesity, from Carlyle-affiliated funds. Financial terms were not disclosed.
After closing, Arctera will operate independently within Cloud Software Group. Arctera offers solutions in data resilience, compliance, and protection, serving thousands of customers worldwide, generating over $400 million in annual revenue, and maintaining more than 40% adjusted EBITDA margins.
Based in Pleasanton, California, the deal is expected to close in Q4 2025 pending regulatory approval, with Cloud Software Group funding the acquisition from cash reserves.
Advisors/legal: Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP is acting as legal counsel to Cloud Software Group. Citi is serving as the exclusive financial advisor, and Alston & Bird LLP is acting as legal counsel to Arctera.
