Clover Security has secured $36 million in new funding as the Tel Aviv-based company aims to redefine how product security is built for an accelerating AI-driven development landscape. The round was led by Notable Capital and Team8, with participation from SVCI and support from several prominent industry figures, including Wiz co-founders Assaf Rappaport and Yinon Costica, Cato Networks’ Shlomo Kramer, Rene Bonvanie, and senior leaders from Snyk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Networks, Atlassian, and Google.
The rapid expansion of AI native development is reshaping software creation, enabling teams to build faster but with mounting complexity. Traditional security models still rely on post-development detection, leaving companies exposed to flaws introduced long before testing. Clover aims to reverse this dynamic by placing security at the earliest stages of product design.
The company embeds AI agents directly into widely used tools such as Confluence, Jira, GitHub, Cursor, and Slack to identify architectural weaknesses before development begins. These agents behave like seasoned security engineers, modeling system behavior, pinpointing potential risks, and applying core security principles during product ideation. This approach frees security teams from repetitive reviews and gives developers real-time security guidance within their existing workflows.
Clover’s platform is already being used by dozens of organizations across financial services, enterprise technology, and fintech, including Fortune 500 companies. Its customer roster spans Udemy, ServiceTitan, Lemonade, PROS, and Virgin Money, along with fast-growing private companies such as Plaid, Notion, Neo4j, and Lead Bank. The breadth of adoption highlights the rising demand for proactive, design-led security amid the surge of AI native product development.
The company was founded in 2023 by product security specialists Alon Kollmann and Or Chen. With the new capital, Clover plans to scale its product capabilities and expand its go-to-market teams as enterprises look to secure increasingly complex AI-driven systems at their earliest stages.
KEY QUOTES:
“Existing security tools are reactive, forcing teams to fight fires instead of preventing them. In today’s world of AI-native development, that model no longer works. Teams are moving faster and building more than ever. Security teams are left alone to manage unprecedented complexity. Clover changes that by helping product security teams scale by working where products start, in design.”
Alon Kollmann, Co-Founder and CEO of Clover
“It’s rare to see a security startup reach millions in ARR while operating in stealth. That kind of growth doesn’t happen by chance. Clover is not just keeping up with the AI-native era, but delivering the security foundation this generation of software needs.”
Oren Yunger, Managing Partner at Notable Capital
“As a product security leader, my biggest challenge has always been scale. There are never enough security engineers. Clover’s design-led approach to product security really excites me because it directly tackles that challenge.”
Iain Mulholland, Cloud CISO at Google Cloud and Advisor to Clover
