CND Life Sciences has completed a growth financing led by S-Curve Partners to accelerate adoption of its Syn-One Test and broaden its neurodiagnostics platform. Existing CND investors and shareholders also participated. Financial terms were not disclosed.
CND’s Syn-One Test is a commercially available skin biopsy-based laboratory-developed test designed to detect abnormal phosphorylated alpha-synuclein and other pathological markers.
The test assists clinicians in evaluating patients for suspected Parkinson’s disease, dementia with Lewy bodies, multiple system atrophy, REM sleep behavior disorder, and related synucleinopathies.
Since 2020, more than 4,000 neurologists and other clinicians in the U.S. have used Syn-One to support the diagnostic evaluation of more than 60,000 patients.
CND plans to use the financing to expand Syn-One commercially, invest in product development, form strategic partnerships, and integrate the test into a broader multimodal biomarker platform for diagnosing and characterizing neurodegenerative diseases.
The company also works with biopharmaceutical companies on clinical trials and is researching earlier disease detection and synuclein quantification.
