What is Tracie Wagman’s background? Wagman said:

“I have a background as an entrepreneur building, scaling and selling companies mainly in technology. When I started learning about ColdVest I found that I could take my business knowledge and focus on an innovative solution to address this health crisis. Once I learned that heat stroke is 100% preventable and no one needs to die I took my knowledge into co-founding ColdVentures. We recognized the alarming rise in heat-related illnesses and deaths and felt compelled to create a solution.”

“As CEO, my primary responsibilities include overseeing the strategic direction of ColdVentures, ensuring we stay true to our mission of preventing heat-related deaths, and leading our innovative product development. I also focus on building partnerships with organizations that share our vision of a safer, healthier environment for those exposed to extreme heat.”

Favorite Memory

What has been your favorite memory working for the company so far? Wagman reflected:

“I’ll never forget when the first ColdVest that was made in America came off the line. We are lucky enough to work with incredible manufacturers and having spent months working on securing materials and ensuring quality, it was such a moment of pride when the first ones were made here in the US.”

Core Products

What are the company’s core products and features? Wagman explained:

“Our core product, ColdVest, is the world’s first portable, Class 1 FDA rapid cooling device that does not require ice or power. It uses patented endothermic cooling technology to lower core body temperatures from life threatening to safe in 20 minutes. When heat stroke strikes, you have 30 minutes to lower core body temperature before organ failure or even death. ColdVest is lightweight, portable and does not require ice, refrigeration or electricity, making it ideal for outdoor workers, athletes, military personnel and anyone at risk of heat stroke.”

Evolution Of ColdVest’s Technology

How has the company’s technology evolved since launching? Wagman noted:

“Since launching, our technology has seen significant improvements in user experience and efficiency. We continuously gather feedback from users in various fields—from schools to agriculture—to refine ColdVest. Our goal is to ensure it’s as effective and user-friendly as possible for those who need it most, particularly in emergency situations.”

Significant Milestones

What have been some of the company’s most significant milestones? Wagman cited:

“One major milestone was moving our manufacturing from China to the USA. This allowed us to be closer to the quality control of the device and ensure efficacy. Additionally, expanding our outreach to indoor and outdoor workers has been vital in raising awareness about heat stroke prevention. We’re committed to making ColdVest a staple in heat safety protocols.”

Customer Success Stories

When asking Wagman about customer success stories, she highlighted:

“There is a customer we work with in the outdoor worker space across the country and he has been a great company to work with on enhancing his heat safety protocols and including ColdVest in his toolkit. As well, we have some great athletic trainer customers, one in particular in Alabama I’m thinking of, and it’s incredible to work with them to keep students safe while they train and play outside. It makes me feel proud to partner with these customers on a combined mission of combating death from heat stroke.”

Revenue

When asking Wagman about the company’s revenue details, she replied:

“While I can’t disclose specific metrics, I can share that we are actively seeking partnerships to scale production and distribution. Our focus is on making ColdVest widely available, especially as heat-related health crises continue to grow.”

Total Addressable Market

What total addressable market (TAM) size is the company pursuing? Wagman assessed:

“The total addressable market for ColdVest is significant, given the rising incidence of heat-related illnesses across various sectors, including outdoor labor, sports and emergency response, among others. With climate change escalating heat risks, our target market is expanding rapidly, positioning ColdVest as a vital resource for millions worldwide.”

Differentiation From The Competition

What differentiates the company from its competition? Wagman affirmed:

“ColdVest is unique in that it’s the only portable emergency cooling device that can rapidly lower core body temperature without the need for electricity or refrigeration. Our patented technology is designed for immediate action and can be deployed by anyone with no medical training needed in critical situations, making it an indispensable tool for anyone who works or plays outdoors.”

Future Company Goals

What are some of the company’s future goals? Wagman pointed out:

“Our future goals include expanding our outreach to more industries, enhancing product accessibility and increasing public awareness about the dangers of heat exposure. We aim to solidify ColdVest as a standard piece of equipment for anyone at risk of heat stroke, ensuring that heat-related deaths become preventable in the future.”

Additional Thoughts

Any other topics you would like to discuss? Wagman concluded:

“I’d love to highlight the importance of recognizing extreme heat as a significant health crisis. With increasing temperatures, we need collective action to address this issue—starting with awareness, education and the implementation of effective tools like ColdVest. Together, we can prevent unnecessary heat-related tragedies.”
