Colorado Premium announced the acquisition of Old Hickory Smokehouse, a founder-owned producer of smoked and cooked protein products. The acquisition expands Colorado Premium’s portfolio beyond its traditional sous vide cooking operations by adding naturally smoked protein capabilities.
Old Hickory Smokehouse is based in Lewisburg, Tennessee and specializes in premium smoked and cooked protein products serving foodservice and related markets.
Colorado Premium said the acquisition strengthens its broader value-added protein platform across foodservice, retail, direct-to-consumer, and industrial customer channels.
The combined company will integrate Old Hickory Smokehouse’s smoking expertise with Colorado Premium’s existing water-bath sous vide cooking operations and culinary development capabilities.
Colorado Premium also said the transaction will support additional investment into the Lewisburg production facility.
Old Hickory Smokehouse founder Wayne Wolf and his sons Wayne and Brandon Wolf are expected to continue operating with the business following the transaction.
Colorado Premium manufactures value-added beef, chicken, and other protein products across sous vide, portioned, marinated, and ground formats.
