Columbia Basin Ice, in partnership with Oregon Ice, announced the acquisition of select manufacturing, distribution, and customer assets previously operated by Reddy Ice across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. The transaction became effective February 19, 2026.
The acquisition includes production facilities, transportation equipment, and established customer contracts throughout the Pacific Northwest. The deal was completed as part of requirements established by the U.S. Department of Justice to preserve competition in the packaged ice market following Reddy Ice’s acquisition of Arctic Glacier.
With the transition finalized, existing customers will continue receiving their current delivery schedules and products without interruption. The companies said the integration will strengthen regional service capacity while maintaining competitive market conditions.
Columbia Basin Ice and Oregon Ice now operate what they describe as the largest packaged ice manufacturing network in the Pacific Northwest. Combined production capacity exceeds three million pounds of ice per day, expanding the companies’ ability to support seasonal demand across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and surrounding markets.
The companies expect the expanded footprint to improve logistics flexibility, increase supply reliability during peak periods, and enhance responsiveness to customer needs across the region.
Columbia Basin Ice LLC, headquartered in Kennewick, Washington, manufactures packaged ice products, including tube ice and block ice, focusing on regional production and local service. Oregon Ice LLC operates a network supplying bagged ice, block ice, and dry ice across Oregon and Northern California.
