Com Laude, a London-based corporate domain services provider owned by PX3 Partners, said it has completed its acquisition of U.S. corporate domain registrar Markmonitor, combining the businesses under a new entity called Markmonitor Group.
The company said the transaction creates a full-service provider focused on corporate domain name portfolio management, offering technology tools, advisory support, and high-touch customer service aimed at in-house domain managers at global enterprises. Markmonitor Group will launch with an initial enterprise value of about $450 million, according to the announcement.
Ben Crawford, previously CEO of Com Laude, has been named CEO of Markmonitor Group. Stu Homan, formerly head of Markmonitor, will serve as chief operating officer. The combined company will maintain regional headquarters in Boise, London, and Tokyo, alongside additional regional offices, with staff across 16 countries.
Markmonitor Group said it supports thousands of corporate clients worldwide, including most of America’s 20 largest enterprises, and positions itself as a specialist in domain portfolio strategy, advisory services, and operational execution. The company said it employs more domain portfolio advisors and domain strategists than any other provider in its category, and can also supply dedicated staff secondments to client organizations.
A key area of focus for the combined company is helping corporate clients pursue and operate new top-level domains, including so-called dotBrand domains—brand-owned internet suffixes that allow companies to create trusted URLs under their own namespace and reduce exposure to cybersquatting. Markmonitor Group said it has supported 280 successful applications for new TLDs and expects demand to increase as the next dotBrand application window approaches.
The company noted that applications for dotBrand TLDs are expected to close in mid-2026, framing the upcoming cycle as a rare opportunity for brands to assess feasibility and prepare submissions. Beyond TLD strategy and domain management, Markmonitor Group said it will offer services spanning compliance support, internet infrastructure and policy, cybersecurity, domain acquisitions and disposals, intellectual property services, online brand protection, and other digital strategy capabilities, including work related to AI.
