CometChat announced it has raised $6.5 million in strategic funding from Run Ventures to accelerate the expansion of its next-generation AI agent platform. The company has now raised a total of $21.1 million to date.
The new capital will support CometChat’s AI strategy, which is focused on three primary pillars. The first is proactive outbound intelligence, enabling AI agents to monitor conditions such as restock alerts or refund delays and reach out to customers before they initiate contact. The second is multi-agent orchestration, featuring a visual workflow builder that enables non-technical teams to coordinate specialized agents across functions such as billing, scheduling, and recommendations. The third is a customer intelligence layer that automatically extracts user preferences and styles to personalize interactions across channels, including web, SMS, WhatsApp, and voice.
CometChat’s platform enables businesses to build and deploy conversational AI agents without requiring code or specialized AI expertise. The system is built on six years of communication infrastructure and is designed to act as the primary interface between businesses and their customers.
The company plans to target high-transaction industries such as wellness and beauty, home services, e-commerce, hospitality, and food service, where proactive engagement and responsiveness can drive retention and revenue. Over the next 12 to 18 months, CometChat will focus on scaling AI deployments, expanding go-to-market efforts, and strengthening its position in key verticals.
