ComfyUI announced it has raised $30 million in new funding at a $500 million valuation to scale its open-source platform for AI-driven creative production. The round was led by Craft, with participation from Pace Capital, Chemistry, TruArrow, and other investors, bringing total funding to approximately $47–48 million.
Originally launched as an open-source project, ComfyUI has evolved into one of the fastest-growing platforms for generative AI workflows, surpassing 4 million users, 60,000 community-built nodes, and more than 150,000 daily downloads.
ComfyUI provides a node-based interface that lets creators build modular, highly customizable workflows for image, video, 3D, and audio generation. The platform is widely used by studios, agencies, and enterprise teams seeking greater control and repeatability than traditional prompt-based AI tools offer.
The funding will be used to expand the platform’s capabilities, including scaling cloud infrastructure, improving collaborative workflows for teams, and enhancing the stability and usability of its local and hosted environments.
ComfyUI’s growth reflects a broader shift in the AI ecosystem toward open, flexible systems that prioritize creator control and extensibility over closed, one-size-fits-all tools. Its community-driven model has enabled rapid innovation, with thousands of contributors building extensions and workflows that expand the platform’s functionality.
The company is positioning itself as foundational infrastructure for professional-grade creative AI, supporting use cases ranging from advertising and visual effects to design systems and large-scale content production.
