commercetools Names John Lentine Chief Revenue Officer, Adds Paul Applegate to Lead Partners and Alliances

commercetools, a digital commerce platform provider for global enterprises, said it has appointed John Lentine as chief revenue officer and named Paul Applegate vice president of partners and alliances as it looks to scale its next phase of growth and meet increasing demand for unified commerce across markets, channels, and business models.

The company said the appointments follow a strong fourth quarter and continued customer and business growth in 2025. commercetools said it is strengthening execution across its commercial and partner organizations to help enterprise customers accelerate time to market, scale revenue, and operate consistently across regions through a growing ecosystem of partners.

Lentine will lead commercetools’ global revenue organization, including sales, customer expansion, and go-to-market execution. The company said he brings more than 17 years of experience leading enterprise revenue teams, including responsibility for more than $1 billion in annual recurring revenue across the Americas at PTC, and experience scaling go-to-market organizations in complex, technical enterprise environments.

Applegate will oversee the expansion of commercetools’ global partner ecosystem, focusing on strategic relationships, new alliances in priority markets, and joint programs aimed at driving pipeline growth, bookings, and customer outcomes. He joins from Invoice Cloud, where he led global alliances and business development and built a partner network, according to the company.
