Founded by Alex Rudolph and Tyler Brechbiel, TBAR Partners has helped scale more than 40 e-commerce brands and currently manages over $5 million in monthly gross merchandise value (GMV). Its client portfolio includes Grüns, Vita Coco, Ridge, and HexClad, among other consumer brands.
The acquisition will enable CTC to offer its clients a more integrated approach to TikTok Shop, combining creator partnerships, storefront management, affiliate marketing, and performance advertising with the agency’s existing growth strategies.
CTC serves direct-to-consumer brands generating seven- and eight-figure revenues, providing services designed to help businesses scale while maintaining a focus on profitability and measurable financial performance.
Its platform combines proprietary data tools, financial planning, paid customer acquisition, creative strategy, customer retention, and performance marketing. The addition of TBAR will extend these capabilities into creator-led commerce, allowing clients to incorporate TikTok Shop into their broader marketing and revenue strategies.
TBAR brings an established creator network and operational expertise in managing TikTok Shop storefronts. Its approach includes trained creator operators, AI-driven affiliate outreach, and creator community activation strategies, enabling brands to develop relationships with content creators and expand their presence on the platform.
These capabilities will complement CTC’s existing emphasis on connecting marketing investments to measurable business outcomes.
Rather than treating TikTok Shop as an isolated sales channel, the combined business intends to help clients understand how creator-led commerce affects their broader operations, including customer acquisition, revenue growth, and overall profitability.
The acquisition also gives TBAR access to CTC’s established client relationships, technology infrastructure, and financial planning capabilities.
For CTC’s existing customers, the transaction creates an opportunity to incorporate specialized TikTok Shop management into their marketing activities without engaging a separate agency.
The combination is intended to provide a more coordinated strategy for content creation, creator partnerships, paid advertising, and storefront management.
TBAR’s experience managing substantial monthly merchandise volumes also provides an established operational foundation for expanding these services across CTC’s client base.
The acquisition represents an expansion of CTC’s offerings into social commerce, adding specialized capabilities to its existing performance marketing and e-commerce growth platform.
The transaction comes as consumer brands increasingly evaluate creator-led marketing and social commerce as additional avenues for customer acquisition and direct sales.
TikTok Shop allows brands to sell products through content creators, affiliate partnerships, and integrated shopping experiences. Managing these activities requires coordination among creators, advertising teams, and e-commerce operators.
By combining TBAR’s specialized expertise with CTC’s broader marketing services, the companies intend to help clients manage these activities within a unified growth strategy.
The acquisition also supports The Acacia Group’s investment in CTC. The private investment firm’s backing provides CTC with resources to expand its capabilities and pursue additional opportunities in the e-commerce services market.
Following the transaction, TBAR’s creator network, operating processes, and TikTok Shop expertise will become part of CTC’s broader offering, giving the combined business additional capabilities in creator content, storefront management, and affiliate marketing.
KEY QUOTES:
“TikTok Shop is the fastest-growing sales channel in U.S. e-commerce, and Alex and Tyler have proven, in a very short time, that they understand creator-led commerce better than almost anyone in the space. Combining what they have built with CTC’s operating system and financial discipline allows us to maximize the growth of this channel for our clients, while giving them visibility into the broader cascade of impact TikTok Shop has on their whole business.”
Luke Austin, President of Common Thread Collective
“Joining CTC gives us the infrastructure and client relationships to take what we’ve built and bring it to a much bigger stage. CTC’s clients are exactly the brands that stand to win the most from TikTok Shop right now, and we’re excited to plug our creator network and operating playbook directly into their growth strategy.”
