Companion.energy announced that it has raised €7.8 million in funding to accelerate the growth of its software platform designed to help enterprises manage increasingly volatile energy markets.

The funding round was led by Realyze Ventures and Pi Labs, with participation from Asterion Ventures and existing investors Übermorgen Ventures, NAP, Entourage Ventures, and the imec.istart Future Fund.

The company is developing software that enables businesses to autonomously optimize energy costs in real time. As energy markets become more dynamic and prices fluctuate within seconds rather than following predictable seasonal patterns, Companion.energy aims to help organizations respond more effectively through automation and data-driven decision-making.

Its platform forecasts energy demand, analyzes market conditions, and automatically takes action across procurement, energy assets, and flexibility resources. By replacing manual processes and guesswork with real-time intelligence, the company seeks to transform energy management from a business risk into a strategic advantage.

Companion.energy said the new capital will be used to expand its platform capabilities and bring its technology to a broader range of enterprise customers. The company believes that as energy price volatility continues to increase, businesses will require more sophisticated tools to manage costs and optimize energy operations.

The investment underscores growing interest in technologies that help enterprises navigate the energy transition while improving operational efficiency and resilience.
